Some Kiambu residents have vowed to defy President Uhuru Kenyatta’s six-piece voting.

The locals, who turned up at various trading centres during the recent Uhu-Ruto campaigns, held placards with “UhuRuto Sawa, The Others Let The People Decide” writings.

They said they will back the reelection of Uhuru and Ruto but stated they will decide on whom to vote for the other elective seats.

In Ruiru, residents defied the call and waved Governor William Kabogo’s placards when Uhuru asked the masses to listen to Ruto and 'Baba Yao’ speeches.

But Ruto maintained the six piece stand, asking Kiambu not to let them down.

“You Kiambu people should know that you are Jubilee county number one and other counties are taking bearing from Kiambu. If you mix while voting you will mislead other counties,” he said.

“You should put a straight line from President Uhuru, governor, senator, MPs and MCAs.”
