Senate Majority leader Kithure Kindiki has told Nyamira senator Kennedy Mongare to re-think his impeachment motion against President Uhuru Kenyatta because it will still be shot down by Jubilee legislators.
Kindiki said that with Jubilee's dominance in both Houses, Mong'are's motion would bring him nothing except 'cheap' publicity.
He added that Mong'are needed to engage in 'realistic' issues and not the 'mischievous fantasies' he was pursuing.
"I advise my brother to busy himself with realistic political activities and not fantasy. Such ideas are cheap, mischievous and calculated to seek my colleague the attention he lacks but craves for now that he has said he wants to be the President”, he said on Friday.
Mong'are has said that the president needs to be impeached for causing deaths indirectly through the ongoing doctors' strike where the government has not successfully intervened to help the poor citizens.
