The Uasin Gishu County Assembly has pledged to work closely with the county executive to ensure development projects that will benefit mwananchi are initiated.Assembly Speaker David Kiplagat says for devolution to be a success, the Legislative and Executive arms of the county government must have a close working relationship.Speaking in Eldoret on Friday, Kiplagat assured that he work to see to it that the Assembly fully supports county executives development agenda."As the leader of the legislative arm of this county government I want to give an assurance that we shall work to ensure executives development agenda is achieved," said the Speaker."We will work in unity, respect and together because all we are interested in is to ensure our people gets the very best from devolution," he added.Uasin Gishu was among the few counties that had a good working relationship between Assembly and executives during the first five years of the devolution.The assembly was also ranked top in terms of the number of bills and motions passed from 2013 to 2017.
