"We want to be very clear as the member of ODM from the Western region we support the SG and we would like him to be given the support he requires so that his position in the party is not undermined," said Otuoma.

Funyula MP Paul Otuoma who addressed the press accused Raila Odinga's inner circle of sidelining and undermining Namwamba's initiatives in the party which he said frustrates the Budalang'i lawmaker.

"We have seen schemes where Namwamba's initiative in the party have not been supported and received a very lukewarm response and yet other initiatives by other leaders come up and they are supported," said Otuoma.

The MPs further stated that they also discouraged and rebuke the notion by most ODM party members that when a member has a dissenting view he is branded a mole.

"We want to rebuke this idea that when a member has a divergent view you start calling them moles," said Otuoma.

Namwamba has in the recent past been on the receiving end from his critics in the ODM party after missing in action in most of the party activities and recent reports have also hinted that he is keen to ditch Cord for Labour Party of Kenya or join the Jubilee coalition.
