Coalition for reforms and democracy, Cord has called off anti-IEBC demonstrations that were scheduled to take place today Thursday June 16.
Torangen member of parliament Eseli Simiyu and Siaya senator James Orengo announced yesterday that they have suspended the demonstrations because they are satisfied with the progress of the talks.
The opposition party and the ruling party, Jubilee had agreed to dialogue.
The two parties had selected members from both sides to discuss the way foward to end the IEBC Stalemate.
The opposition party led by three co-principals Raila Odinga of Orange democratic movement, ODM, Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Bungoma senator Moses Wetang'ula have been calling for electoral reforms and they have, for the past month, staged country-wide demonstrations calling for the removal of the 9 IEBC commissioners.
The opposition party had vowed to boycott next year's general elections if the IEBC commissioners are not removed from office.
