Addressing the Press on Saturday in Nyamira town, Nyambati asked the County Governor John Nyagarama to speed up in resolving issues in the Board so that they can either be reinstated or new members be appointed to serve the public.

He also questioned why PSB members are still earning salaries yet they are not offering any service to Nyamira people.

"Our county is lagging behind because of inactive PSB. Governor Nyagarama should fasten in resolving issues engulfing the Board so that we can have an operational body," said Nyambati.

He added, "There is no way the ousted members of the Board can continue earning salaries, yet they are not giving any service to the residents."

The PSB was disbanded by the County Assembly in October 2014 on allegations of hiring of staff illegally.

The Board, led by Chairman Peter Nyakundi filed a petition and Homa-Bay sitting Judge David Majanja certified the petition and ordered reinstatement of the Board members till the case they filed challenging the manner in which the County Assembly discussed and voted against them is heard and determined.

However, they were denied entry and use of their offices by the Assembly. The case is still in Court waiting determination.
