These farmers have complained of receiving lower payments compared to the other two branches, Mukuyuni and Kiliku coffee factories.

They said that coffee farming is their main source of livelihood.

They said that they are paid Sh35 per kilogram compared to other branches which get Sh50 per kilogram.

The situation has highly affected most farmers leading them to give up on coffee farming for other farming activities.

Others have combined other cash crops with coffee trees which is lowering produce.

They therefore pleaded with relevant authorities to solve the problem through increasing and standardizing the coffee prices.
