Keroka residents have hit back at Jubilee saying they want peace not ‘goodies’.
This is after the president visited Kisii and Nyamira yesterday and today.
They say they expected the president would take the issue of border row into consideration.
“We expected the president to prioritise the issue of the border row but we see he is interested with winning us by giving out the ‘goodies," said Geoffrey Oino.
They said their safety is paramount and cannot be compared to gifts.
“We cannot just be fine when we have a big problem at the border. Some of us have lost a lot since the disputes at the border started," said Ezekiel Momanyi.
"We expect to have peace and be compensated,” he added.
They also lashed at their leaders for not highlighting to the president that a big problem exists at the border.
“Some of the leaders want to safeguard their ‘names’ before the president. They should have spearheaded the border dispute solution to the president for a permanent solution,” said Faith Sang a resident of Keroka.
