The National Super Alliance (NASA) coalition has welcomed international observers to take part in the October 17 repeat presidential elections.
This comes after the coalition had previously expressed dissatisfaction at how the observers commented about the annulled presidential elections moments after it was cancelled by the Supreme Court.
According to the principals, the coalition decided to change its stand on the inclusion of the international observers because they realized the importance which they play in such a national exercise.
"We have met the group of international observers today led by the former Tanzania Chief Justice Chande Othman and we are happy with their input," said Mudavadi.
Addressing media from their Capitol Hill offices, the principal also said that they are very cognisant of their previous election recommendations adding that their input is more important that what they might have missed out back then.
