Deputy President William Ruto has exuded confidence that the Jubilee administration will win seats in perceived Opposition alliance NASA strongholds during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Thursday when he met with Ukambani and Western region leaders, Ruto noted that the Jubilee administration has delivered on key pledges made in the run up to the 2013 general elections.
"We are proud of our scorecard. That is why we challenge our friends in the opposition to tell us what they did for Kenyans when they were in government instead of the rhetoric we are used to," he said.
"In the last election, we didn’t have strong candidates like you. There is a clear indication that we are going to win in western and Kamba votes this time round," he added.
The Western delegation was led by Bungoma Governor Ken Lusaka, alongside a host of eight Members of Parliament, whereas that of Ukambani was comprised of seven legislators who were elected on a Wiper Party ticket but have since shifted allegiance to Jubilee Party.
