Senator Chris Obure who is also chairman to ‘Omogusii unity’ team has said that they will champion the issues affecting the Gusii people regardless of their political parties.
Speaking on Friday at Kisii National Polytechnic during KUPPET annual general meeting, Obure said that political parties have been hindering development in the region hence they decided to put political party differences aside so to foster development.
“We were elected with difference parties since then we have not been together but we decided to put our political party differences aside so that we can work together in fostering development, that is why we formed Omogusii unity agenda,” said Obure.
“Since we have come together now we can articulate challenges facing the community, some of the projects which they have been asking has been done while others are underway,” added Obure.
Obure added that he has not decamped from ODM since their agenda as leaders from the region is to unite the community.
“I have not decamped from ODM," said Obure.
