Speaking during the operation the area Assistant County Commissioner, John Kanyira said that they will not allow liquor in the region which has affected the young generation.

“We are going to continue with this operation until we make sure that there is no illicit brew in the area, many young people have been affected," said Kanyira.

He further said that Kangara is illegal and it has negative effects on the health of the consumers and even general social economic impact on their lives.

He noted that youths who consume the brew compromise their health so much and make them lazy and once they become addicted they are forced to steal to get money to buy liquor becoming a menace in the family.

He, therefore, advised women to be in groups and borrow money to engage in meaningful businesses including the youths rather than making brews.

The assistant county Commissioner also called upon the villagers to report those who are engaging in the business to save the future of the youths so they can have a future to be proud of.

Misesi sub-location acting chief, Evanson Ondabu warned those who want to make a kill this festive by selling illegal brew.

He assured residents that they will continue with the impromptu raids to apprehended the suspects.
