Leaders from Kisii County have vowed to continue working with jubilee Government in aid of developing the county and support them in 2017 general election.
Led by Senator Chris Obure, Deputy Governor Joash Maangi and several MPs they have said that they are working with Jubilee administration as one way of developing the county.
The leaders under the umbrella of ‘Omogusii’ unity team on Friday said they have decided to work with the Government.
Addressing Residents at Nyasira in Nyaribari Chache during a fund drive presided by Deputy President William Ruto, the leaders said that they need residents to show them where they will support in the next general election either in opposition or to those who will form the next Government.
According to Senator Chris Obure in 2007 and 2013 as the community, they tried to support Raila Odinga to State House, unfortunately, he did not hence they challenged residents to decide whether they will continue supporting the losing team or support the winning team come 2017.
“As ODM chairman in 2007 and 2013 we tried to vote for Raila but he never managed, can we remain supporting the losing team or the winning team,” asked Obure.
Therefore Obure said that they are working with the Jubilee Government as they are waiting for the direction from residents in which coalition they will vote come 2017.
Deputy Governor Joash Maangi also said that he will not be intimidated by the ODM members who want him to resign for associating with the Government.
The Occasion was attended by Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi, Nyaribari Chache MP Richard Tong'i, both Bomachoge Chache and Borabu MPs among others who vowed to work with Jubilee.
