Speaking in Tala town on Tuesday led by Jackson Ndaka, Athamas Ndolo and Chris Kyalo a human right activist said that the governor is taking the doctors strike as a joke not considering the health of the people of Machakos is at risk.

"Enough is enough we are tired of the games played by the governor and the doctors if the matter isn't resolved we will be forced to take to the roads and protest until the governor ends this stalemate," said Ndaka.

They accused the governor of being inconsiderate of the issue since he can access treatment anywhere regardless of the strike.

Despite Machakos county moving to court to obtain order barring the strike, doctors have stood on their feet not to resume their duties until their demands are met.

"Till when will our people perish for lack of access to health care? How many people can afford to go to private hospitals like you?" Wondered Kyalo.

Private hospitals like Bishop Kioko and Shalom hospitals in Machakos have been having a hard task as patients have been flocking them causing congestion leading to some patients sharing beds.
