Not a lot of people seem to be happy with the resignation of Budalangi MP, Ababu Namwamba as the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party Secretary General.
Gem MP, Jakoyo Midiwo is the latest person not pleased with Namwamba.
The MP said that since they taught Namwamba all that he knows, they would not let him off the hook so easy.
Midiwo was speaking at Wagai, Gem constituency on Friday where he said that Namwamba had allowed dark forces to run his conscience if he thinks he can beat the party leader, Raila Odinga.
“Raila has weathered many political storms. The issue of Ababu can only be compared to a storm in a teacup,” Midiwo said.
Midiwo added that the fact that Namwamba wants to strat his own political party to rival Raila shows that he is still very politically immature.
“I supported Ababu at Kasarani as the secretary general, not because he was popular, but because I wanted him to prosper in politics as he was still young,” he said.
The Gem leader accused Namwamba and other such like leaders of being interested in their own personal gains and not those of others. He, therefore, urged supporters not to give him the time of day.
Despite the exit of some leaders from Western Kenya from ODM, Midiwo assured his supporters that the party would not lose its popularity in the region.
