ODM legislators have warned that they will hold mass demonstrations as a party if the current IEBC voter register is used during the 2017 elections.
According to the Suba Member of Parliament and his Homa Bay Town counterpart Peter Kaluma, the electoral body must not use the current register as it is erroneous to warrant the accuracy of the results.
Speaking during a fundraiser at Nduta Primary School in Homa Bay Town Constituency over the weekend, Mbadi said that ODM does not trust the current voter register as there are chances that it has been manipulated and could be used to rig the elections.
"We cannot go into an election whose winner has been determined. The current IEBC commissioners must go home and Kenyans should come up with a fresh voter list to offer a fair playing ground for all contestants," Mbadi said.
"We don't want a situation where the dead rise and cast their votes and go back to their graves," rejoined Kaluma.
