Busia Governor Sospeter Ojaamong' has said that from Kenya's history, only the people themselves can create or restore democracy and the rule of law. "When the people's determination is evident, that is how Kenya has done it until now, both in the 1990s when we threw off the yoke of single party rule and after the mass violence that befell us over a rigged election in 2007."He warned that Kenyans will not allow dictatorship to take hold, given that Kenyans have struggled too long and too painfully to allow democracy to be crushed. "The demand for change and an end to lawlessness has surged to a level I have never seen before, When the people's determination is evident, freedom-loving friends and partners join in," said Ojaamong.Citing NASA coalition's no election call, the ODM governor said: "We are already embarked on that path and will succeed to rectify the wrongs done to the Kenyan people."
