Machakos Women Representative Dr Susan Musyoka has accused Jubilee government of allegedly harassing and intimidating some opposition politicians ahead of the August 8 polls.
Speaking to during the launch of the voter registration exercise at Mulu Mutisya grounds in Machakos on Monday, Dr Musyoka claimed that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government is employing every tool it has to frustrate the opposition.
She alleges that the President Uhuru Kenyatta led government wants to harass vocal opposition politicians.
“We know the tricks the Jubilee government is using to intimidate and silence vocal opposition politicians as we approach the August pools, she claimed.
The Machakos Woman Representative claimed that Jubilee government has sensed defeat in the August polls and has resulted to harassing some opposition politicians.
Dr Musyoka who was referring to the withdrawal of Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho and Kilifi's Amason Kingi security said that opposition will remain steadfast ahead of the polls.
“We will not allow the Jubilee government to frustrate and harass our vocal leaders who only speak the truth,” she said.
Meanwhile, Dr Musyoka has urged Ukambani women and youths to come out in large numbers to register as voters.
She observed that women and youths have an opportunity to register as voters and be able to elect leaders who will champion for their rights and welfare.
