A section of Nakuru residents has said they will not vote for political “tourists”.

This is in reference to Peter Kenneth’s remarks that he may consider vying for the governor’s seat in Nakuru, businessman, and politician David Karuri said the county has enough leaders to produce its own governor.

“We have the best minds in our county so we do not need travellers,” Karuri said.

The residents said they are not ready to experiment with people from other regions.

The Kenya National Congress leader has said he has been approached by three counties reportedly Nairobi, Nakuru and Murang’a County.

“I am consulting widely on all counties whose electorate have asked me to consider," he said.
