Senate majority leader Kithure Kindiki has re-affirmed the government’s commitment to providing quality education.
Speaking in Nakuru town where he represented the deputy president in a fundraiser yesterday, Kindiki said that to start the government would live to its promise of paying examination fees for all Class Eight and Form One candidates across the country.
“This move will ensure that no candidate is locked out of the registration process as has been the case before. The government aims to ensure that secondary school education will be free by the year 2017,” said Kindiki
On roads and infrastructure, Kindiki said that out of the projected 10,000 kilometres of roads set for tarmacking, 2000 kilometres would be launched before the end of this year.
He noted that the move would facilitate faster transportation at a reduced cost.
