Naivasha residents and businesspeople have been asked to go on with their activities without fear as security mechanisms are in place to protect them.
Commissioner Abraham Kemboi said that security will be improved across Naivasha Sub County during and after the festive season.
In a media briefing with journalists at his office on Thursday, Kemboi intimated that police are on high alert.
He assured residents not to worry stating that the sub county administration has taken considerable measures towards security.
“Naivasha residents should feel free and continue with their economic activities,” he said.
The commissioner said that they have directives from the national government to ensure every resident is safe.
He added that police will not negotiate with any criminals and that their aim is to safeguard residents and their property.
Kemboi urged residents to work with the police as they streamline security adding that through Nyumba Kumi, residents should feel free to share with the police.
On the same note, the commissioner warned residents against over indulging in drinking saying those found drunk and loitering aimlessly will be arrested.
