Kisii leaders affiliated to ‘Obomo bwo omogusii’ unity team have vowed to send incumbent Governor James Ongwae parking in 2017.
According to the leaders led by Senator Chris Obure they are unhappy with how the county has been spending the money without any tangible projects for all the years, they have been in power under the leadership of Governor James Ongwae.
Obure said that by now the county needs to have development projects in which common Mwanachi will be proud of but unfortunately nothing they can enjoy through devolution.
“I am an unhappy man considering how the county has been spending money for 4 financial years, yet no serious development has been realised, we need to look for better change come 2017 so that we can transform our county,” said Obure.
Former CIC chairman Charles Nyachae also said that they have been asking about the leadership of the county but the Governor has been criticising them calling it politics.
“I have a right as a Kenyan and as a voter in Kisii County to ask about the leadership of our county more so on how they have been spending, according to the reports we have the county has been misusing our money,” said Nyachae.
"We want to tell Governor Ongwae that when we are asking how they have been using our resources it is not politics, let him come out and explain to us how he has been using the money without any further excuses," he added.
Nyachae challenged to voter to weed out Ongwae in 2017 for real development.
