Labour Party of Kenya (LPK) chairperson Julia Ojiambo has pledged to rally her party to support President Uhuru Kenyatta's re-election during the August 8 general elections.

Speaking at the party's national delegates conference on Friday, Ojiambo asked Mr Kenyatta to include LPK's agenda in government operations after Jubilee wins the coming elections.

“We as a party will support your re-election and that of your deputy William Ruto. We want to tell you that the feelings that have been exhibited here fit our thinking, feeling and resolve to work towards ensuring we deliver that winning vote,” she said.

At the same event, long-time politician Chris Okemo declared his return to active politics, saying he will be supporting the president as he seeks the Nambale parliamentary seat on an LPK ticket.
