Nairobi Governor Evans Kidero has exuded confidence that Cord leader Raila Odinga will clinch the presidency come 2017.

Kidero said Raila was the most suitable person for the presidency.

Speaking in Mombasa County during ODM’s 10th Anniversary celebrations, the governor assured Raila of over 1 million votes from Nairobi residents.

“We gave Raila the highest number of votes from a single county (Nairobi) seven hundred thousand…and we want to ensure that in 2017 elections we give Raila more that one million votes,” Kidero said.

Kidero downplayed the newly formed Jubilee Party, saying Raila will still beat President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017 polls.

He said one can only win the presidential race if he wins in Nairobi and Mombasa counties.

“Whether they (Jubilee) merge or not, whether they rig the elections or not, we will take Raila to State House,” Kidero said.
