The county government of Kisii is set to hold talks with Teacher Service Commission over the suspension of Itierio Boys Principal Mr Andrew Otara.

Speaking at Itierio while calming irritate parents of the institution Kisii County Deputy governor Joash Maangi said the current tension in the institution surrounding community needs to be addressed urgently with sobriety.

“We know you as parents still believe the principal can do better in the school, therefore, we are going to call for urgent talks with teachers employer over the suspension of the school head,” he added.

Maangi called upon the parents to ensure that they don’t destroy any school property as a long lasting solution is being sorted.

This comes barely after the parents of Itierio Boys school staged a second-day protest against the suspension of the principal following the burning down of the school's seven dormitories by the students.
