A section of MPs from Kisii county have vowed to work with the cabinet secretary for education as one way of boosting the sector in the area.
Led By Kitutu Chache North MP Jimmy Angwenyi they said that they will work with the ministry in helping schools to improve their performances more so in national examinations .
In addition, he said that they have arranged with the Cabinet Secretary to have a meeting with school heads to discuss the future and improvement of the schools in the region.
“As the MPs of this region we will work with the CS as one way of helping our schools in terms of performance, we will support him were necessary until we achieve our goals as a community," said Angwenyi.
Bobasi Member of Parliament Manoti Stephen echoed the sentiments of his colleagues in parliament by saying that they have set up measures on how to work with the CS.
“We have set some measures in place which will help us work with the CS so that we can help our children,” said Manoti.
Other members who said that they will work with the Cabinet Secretary are Joel Onyancha and Simon Ogari.
