Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi has maintained that he and his Mombasa counterpart Governor Hassan Joho will not be cowed into dropping their push for the secession of the Coast region.Speaking during an opposition consultative forum on the People's Assembly in Kikambala, Kilifi County Sunday, Kingi defied an earlier warning by President Uhuru Kenyatta with regards to the self-rule debate, maintaining that no amount of intimidation or manipulation will kill the movement. The county boss said that the motion was raised by the locals and cannot, therefore, be stopped by the government through the harassment of leaders supporting the move.''Arresting, detaining or even torturing either or both Kingi and Joho will not solve anything. It is not only about us but about the Coastal people who are tired of the exclusion that has taken root under the Jubilee leadership. Our exit will not stop the movement,'' said Kingi.President Uhuru has warned that no part of Kenya will be allowed to separate under his rule, warning the two governors against pushing for the region’s self-rule.The President also warned a section of National Super Alliance (NASA) leaders who have since drafted a bill to have 40 counties break away to form a separate country, citing electoral injustice and political domination.''There will be the tenth and twentieth President of Kenya but there will not be a second, third or fourth Kenya,'' said Uhuru in his Jamhuri Day speech in Nairobi. Is there a newsworthy accident, incident or event happening in Mombasa County that you want Hivisasa to cover?
