Bodaboda operators of Keroka town have sworn to distant themselves from violence the violence in the border town.

The operators said over the years they have seen the importance of peaceful co-existence saying they have distanced themselves from violence and those political individuals who are interested in using Keroka disputes to achieve political mileage.

“I and my fellow operators have sworn not to take part in any form of violence. We have had incidences of some personnel using the youth to disrupt peace to achieve their own selfish ambitions,” said Ezekiel Okongo an operator.

“We want to tell those individuals especially politicians who like using the operators and other youth to indulge in violence for their benefit," said Moses Monyorwa.

"We as Keroka operators and youth have decided that we are not going to indulge in any form of violence,” he added.

They hope the border disputes will be contained soon enough.
