The Orange Democratic Movement party has been characterized by violence and its deputy party leader has warned those behind the chaos.

The men in black who disrupted party elections and the recent Migori County attacks have proven that ODM is full of hooligans something that the party is trying to fight against.

“It does not matter how long you have been in ODM. It won’t matter your position in the party,” Joho said.

His sentiments were echoed by ODM disciplinary committee chair, Mr. Fred Athuok. Speaking at Mash Park Hotel, Athuok said that they were ready to seriously punish perpetrators of violence. He name fines, expulsions and suspensions among other penalties to those found guilty.

“We are sending a stern warning to party members out there campaigning and their supporters that if you misbehave during your preferred candidates’ campaign or disrupt another candidate’s function in the name of your candidate, you will be spoiling for your contestant as we will not hesitate to deal with the candidates themselves as they are the ones who stand to benefit from their supporters’ misdeeds,” said Mr Athuok.

Among those linked to recent violence are Senator Ongoro and Governor Obado.
