Kinuthia said his government’s ‘Gavana Mtaani’ is meant to serve the people.

"Wananchi have employed us, thus we need to make ourselves accessible to them for mutual understanding and objective appraisal. This is the rationale of the Outreach Program where we are bringing services of the County Government of Nakuru closer to the people," Mbugua said.

Mbugua spoke on Wednesday when the county government pitched camp in Rongai sub-county for the outreach program.

The program has elicited mixed reactions within the county.

The governor’s critics have rubbished the program as a political tool Kinuthia is using ahead of 2017.

“He has realized that he has done totally nothing apart from harassing hawkers. That is why he is now rushing to befriend people in the sub-counties,” a critic who works for the county government said.
