A foetus was recovered on Monday morning in a nearby stream within the premises of Kisii University
According to the dean of students, Brother Francis Kerongo, the dumping of the foetus was a result of an abortion which that was carried out in the last trimester of pregnancy.
"This foetus is a result of a successful abortion by one of the ladies. Abortion has been a common thing in our community as student have unprotected sex," said Kerongo.
Mr Kerongo urged all students to embrace family planning instead of engaging in in abortions which could land them in jail.
"These babies are innocent and they don't know anything. As you enjoy your moments, remember everything has consequences," he said.
The foetus was taken to Kisii level 6 mortuary even as area police launched vicious investigations onto the matter.
