Kisii County Deputy governor Joash Maangi has been told to join Ongwae’s camp as Jubilee has no future as they will lose terribly come 2017.
Speaking in Kisii county headquarters on Thursday during the Governor’s Christmas tree lighting ceremony Ongwae said that there was no need of Maangi wasting his time to join the forces that won’t win after working hard for the county for the last four years.
“I am happy we are here together with my deputy sharing a cake and I would like us to share the cake for the next term that I will be in office kindly join me so that we can work together and deliver our promise to the locals,” he added.
Ongwae, however, said that he is looking forward to working with all leaders in opposition of the county government as he would like to spearhead development agendas for all.
This comes after he is facing a challenge from some of his close allies including Kisii senator Chris Obure who is also eying the gubernatorial seat.
