Following the seizure of 3,505 bags of DAP fertiliser in Nakuru by security officers on Thursday, the NCPB chairman Geoffrey King'ang'i has warned the board's staff against conspiracy in similar dealings with contractors, stating the board will institute stern disciplinary actions against employees of the board determined to be culpable of the criminal activity.
"We will severely punish those involved in such a conspiracy because it is casting the company in bad light," he said.
Incidents of NCPB employees and contractors conspiring to divert fertiliser worth hundreds of millions to wrong destinations have been reported in the North Rift.
The board is now calling for concerted action from members of the public and police in a bid to smash what the board terms as a well- oiled ring of conspiracy against it.
