Deputy President William Ruto has said the Jubilee administration will ensure every household is connected to electricity.

Ruto said this will give Kenyans an opportunity to do business and expand the economy.

"In 2013 only 2.3 million homes had electricity. As we are talking now we have connected 5.6 million households with electricity," he said. 

He added, "The Jubilee government is poised to ensure that by the end of this year, every house has electricity, whether you voted for us or not." 

Ruto urged Kenyans to give Jubilee government a second chance since they have done a lot.

"Our development record speaks for itself that's from education, electricity, agriculture and infrastructure both have flourished under the able Jubilee leadership, "noted that Ruto. 

He, however, called upon authorities mandated in issuance of identity cards to speed up the process so that those eligible can register.
