Duale told the opposition National Super Alliance (NASA) to prepare for a rude shock when the final tally of the votes is done after the August election.

He was speaking when he met leaders from the larger Abdwak community in Garissa town on Sunday for a fundraiser in support of Jubilee gubernatorial candidate Ali Bunow Korane.

“Our final strategy is to deliver the Jubilee Presidential votes, Gubernatorial, Senatorial, MPs from six constituencies, Women Representative and all MCAs in Garissa County during the August general election,” he said.

Duale is facing daunting task to deliver majority of the county votes to Jubilee.

Former Parliament Deputy Speaker Farah Maalim will take on the outspoken legislator in the race for the Garissa Township MP seat.

Maalim was recently handed a Wiper party certificate to contest against Duale who he accuses of failing to improve the lives of the people in Garissa Township.

Garissa, according to political analysts is a battle ground and either Jubilee or NASA can garner majority of the votes during the fourth coming poll.

The county’s opposition point men- Garissa Governor Nathif Jama and Balambala MP Abdikadir Aden have vowed to ensure the NASA bags majority votes in the county.

Duale, elected in 2013 on a URP ticket was one of Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s key allies in North Eastern region before the two fell out shortly after the 2007 general election.

Garissa County has over 162,000 registered voters according to the latest figures from the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission.
