Jubilee party has warned that defectors who left for other parties for fear of nominations but still support president Uhuru kenyatta’s re-election, will face stiff competition in the upcoming general election.
Party Secretariat Raphael Tuju cautioned the defectors, saying Jubilee is going to field candidates in all slots across the country.
“We don’t have any relationship or a memorandum with any outside parties. So those defecting to these parties should wait for us there. We will come up with our Jubilee candidates and they will face the full wrath,” Tuju said.
Addressing the press, Jubilee party secretary general Veronica Maina also warned the defectors from claiming nominations will not be free and fair.
“Aspirants should not use bias as basis of leaving our party. We are not a biased party and We shall not favour anyone,” she noted.
Several leaders from the Uhuru-led party have joined parties like the Party of National Unity (PNU), Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM)), Maendeleo Chap Chap, Narc-Kenya and Democratic Party citing fears that nominations will not be fair.
