The storm in National Super Alliance (NASA) looks to be calming down after Ford Kenya pledged to support Wiper’s bid to clinch the gubernatorial seat in Kwale County.

The two party leaders Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula campaigned for ODM defector and gubernatorial aspirant on a Wiper Democratic Movement ticket Chirau Mwakwere. They also drummed up support for ODM’s Benjamin Tayari who is eying the Kinango parliamentary seat come August 8.

“My party has received many requests for governor aspirants from Kwale, but we have rejected them to support Mwakwere,” Wetangula said.

On his part, the former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka said Tayari should oust the sitting Kinango legislature, Gonzi Rai. Musyoka said that the incumbent has been in politics too long to be given a chance to continue messing the constituency. He called for Gonzi’s retirement from politics.

“Time has come for him (MP Gonzi) to retire,” Kalonzo said.

The rare show of unity at the coastal county comes at a time when many are anticipating a fallout in NASA considering the Kalonzo rhetoric and the recent ANC demands.

However, the four leaders have maintained that they will remain united until Jubilee is voted out. ODM and Wiper are yet to emulate this type of agreement.
