Mudavadi said Kenyans have lost trust in the Jubilee administration and are yearning for change.

"2017 is the year for change," he said in Funyula, Busia, as he addressed mourners during the burial of Funyula MP Paul Otuoma's son, Malcolm Otuoma on Saturday.

"We are negotiating. There is what is called National Super Alliance. It is brewing. It is NASA that we want to use to trap these thieves."

"It is NASA that we want to use to trap those stealing drugs in hospitals and those defiling the Kenyan Constitution. As we go home, let us think how we will work together to defeat Jubilee."

Mudavadi for the last one year has been close to ODM party leader Raila Odinga.

Together with Mr Odinga, Wiper's Kalonzo Musyoka, Senator Moses Wetangula and Kanu's Gideon Moi, he is expected to steer talks that will climax in the formation of the National Super Alliance to take on President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee in 2017.

The four will select a strong presidential candidate to face-off with Uhuru next year.

Those who will not manage to clinch the position to fly the Alliance's flag will rally behind the successful candidate.
