Speaking during Garissa governor Ali Bunow Korane's swearing in ceremony on Monday, Duale said that Jubilee MPs will work with their counterparts in opposition for the interests of Kenyans.
He said that the 12 Parliament will be different from previous 'Houses', saying that their core mandate will be to better the lives of Kenyans through proper legislations.
"It is wrong and malicious for some people to start claiming that Jubilee will use its many numbers in Parliament to undermine the interests of Kenyans, that is not the case," he said as quoted by the Standard.
The Garissa MP said that the work of the the 12 parliament is well cut out, adding that their first agenda is to pass the two-third gender rule.
He said that passing the Bill will ensure equality in sharing of public appointments as provided for in the constitution.
Jubilee has majority MPs just like in the previous parliament compared to the opposition.
A section of opposition MPs have been claiming that Jubilee plans to use its many numbers in Parliament and the senate to rubber stamp exucutive orders and frustrate the interests of common mwananchi.
The 12 Parliament is expected to convene soon with MP- elects taking their oath.
The MPs will also have a chance to choose their speaker, deputy speaker , leader of majority and minority among other positions.
