Two Jubilee politicians have vowed to popularise the party in the Coast region and ensure President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are re-elected.Addressing journalists at the Jubilee Party offices in Nyali, Mombasa, after being handed his nomination certificate to vie for MCA, Said Mathias Mwalimu thanked Uhuru for steering development in the region.The former civic leader vowed to campaign for the President in Mombasa, and woo residents to back his re-election bid.He asked his opponents to brace for a tough political battle come August, saying it will not be business as usual as the Coast region is no longer an opposition zone.Mathias exuded confidence in recapturing the Majengo/Mwembe Tayari ward seat.Meanwhile, Kilifi’s Sokoni ward MCA aspirant Bendera Wilson Charo has thanked residents for electing her to vie for the seat on a Jubilee ticket.While addressing Kilifi residents after receiving her certificate, Ms Bendera assured residents she will engage them in her political campaigns in a bid to popularise Jubilee in the county which is considered an opposition turf.“I’ll campaign tirelessly in Kilifi County to popularize the Jubilee Party and ensure President Uhuru gets a second term in office,” said Bendera.
