The IEBC Chief Excutive Officer Ezra Chiloba has assured Kenyans that the electoral body is doing the right thing.
Speaking to the nation during his regular briefs, the CEO promised to do serious verification before announcing the official winner.
“Given the nature and magnitude of this process we must be sure that we are doing the right thing. We are now able to account for 288 forms that are with us. The two that re remaining we have seen the forms but we have gone back to returning officers for verification,” Chiloba said.
Chiloba pleaded with Kenyans to be patient. He promised to give an accurate and legitimate announcement.
“We plead for patience as we finalize this process. We need a legitimate and accurate process that can help this country,” he said.
