[Photo|Wishfm Nairobi]Five of the 17 fishermen who were arrested by the Ugandan police in Lake Victoria have been released.This is after they paid Sh11,000 each to secure their release.Lake Victoria Beach Management Network chairman Richard Oremo said the five sought help from relatives to secure the cash.The fishermen were arrested as they fished in Remba Island in Homa Bay county lake on Sunday and Monday and were taken to Kalangala and Riabane Police stations in Uganda where they were detained.Mbita OCPD Wilson Nanga has since said they are in talks with the Ugandan police to release the remaining fishermen.
