The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has warned that the time-frame for the last phase of the mass voter registration ends February 14, as indicated earlier.
Chairman Wafula Chebukati said there will be no further registration of voters anywhere in the country after the closure of the deadline apart from registration in prisons and diaspora.
This, he said will give the Commission time to clean up the voter register.
Chebukati was responding to calls by the Opposition, Nasa, that the exercise be extended since some citizens were recently given ID cards, and were yet to get time to register.
He was addressing the 7th National Assembly Leadership Retreat at the Mombasa, Serena Beach Hotel, Saturday.
