Nairobi County Police Boss Japheth Koome has laughed off a recent report that ranked the Kenya Police Service third worst in the world.
While addressing the press on Sunday, Koome said that the 2016 World Internal Security and Police Index (WISPI) report earlier released on Saturday was false and malicious.
The police boss instead heaped praise on the police service, adding that the Kenyan force is among the best in the world.
“Kenya police ranked third last in the world is not true. We are among the best in the world,” Koome said.
The WISPI survey was conducted across 127 countries globally and among the key parameters used in the study was the ability of a police service to address a country's security issues based on the four areas of capacity, legitimacy, process, and outcomes.
