A section of residents from Machakos County have expressed their discontentment over NASA leader Raila Odinga's abrupt meeting with President Uhuru Kenyatta.
They are now demanding for an explanation from the ODM party leader concerning the Friday's meeting.
In an interview with this reporter, the locals drawn from various parts of the county wondered why Raila would start a resistance movement, take an oath and suddenly let everything go down the drain.
Nguluni Market chairman Domnick Mwitiki said the Raila's move is like that of a commander who prepares soldiers for a fight only to retreat at the last minute.
He questioned Raila if the sacrifices NASA supporters made since 2015 up to now were all in vain.
“Were the demos, death of baby Pendo and others all in vain? we as NASA followers want answers. Raila has not only betrayed his colleagues but also his supporters," Mwitiki said.
The sentiments were echoed by Muli Jackson, a barber in Mwala town who said it will not be business as usual since NASA supporters have lost faith in the coalition.
He said it will be hard for the NASA coalition to convince it's supporters that nothing has changed after the change of events.
