Students of a private primary school are deeply saddened despite the fact that they performed very well in this year's KCPE examinations.
The reason of the sadness of the students of Bethany Christian Academy is that they were never called to the national schools that they selected.
The top student who got 435 wanted to go to Alliance Girls High School but has instead been called to a school that she doesn't want to go.
Other students who got 400 and above marks have also been affected, that is, none of them managed to get a national school of their choice.
This flies in the face of the promise that CS Matiang'i had made, saying that students who scored 400 marks and above would get the school of their choice.
''I wanted Alliance Girls High School but I have been called to another school that I don't like. I thought that 435 marks would get me any school that I wanted.''' Esther Nyarimba who scored 435 marks said.
The students now want Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i to intervene.
