[Photo: @JBoinnet]The Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinnet has flagged off motorcycles, issued to reformed warriors in West Pokot county.They were issued to residents of Pokot and Turkana communities to help in their peaceful coexistence campaigns, in the volatile county, which experiences cattle rustling.The IG was in Turkwel, in the county, Sunday for peace meetings with local leaders and security agents, where the Pokots and Turkana communities assured to live as brothers.Earlier, the National Police Service chief was in Baringo county, where he held a meeting with elders, reformed warriors, religious leaders and the community living in Amaya area, Tiaty constituency.Boinnet affirmed the government's commitment to enhancing security in Baringo and the entire North Rift region, with aim to end community clashes and cattle rustling.He however called on residents to embrace peaceful coexistence, and help the police in flushing out criminals.
