Matungu MP David Were has said that Cord leader Raila Odinga is wasting his time in Western as people from the region are in Jubilee and do not want to be taken back to opposition.
Were who was speaking last week just a day after Odinga began his tour of Kakamega county said that majority of Kakamega MPs have declared their interest in working with the government of the day and not with the opposition.
According to Were, the Cord leader's countless trips to the former Western Province will count to nothing as he is very sure that Jubilee will carry the day in the region come 2017 poll.
The lawmaker was also quick to attack the party's leadership saying he feels for those MPs and MCAs who are still allied to the party as they risk being rigged out during the party's nomination exercise which he says will be shambolic.
"I suffered the same fate last election after I was frustrated by the party leader Raila Odinga. I don't believe the party has changed its operations. Raila still believes I rigged my way to parliament," he said.
