NASA leaders from Western Kenya are insisting on their plan to swear in Raila Odinga as the people's president in a ceremony scheduled for 30th of this month in Nairobi.
Bungoma senator Moses Wetang'ula and his Kakamega counterpart Cleophas Malala say the move is aimed at achieving different electoral reforms to re-organize Kenya's electoral body and improve transparency.
Wetangula and Malala claim Odinga won the August polls, but his victory was snatched away.
“I would love to say that on 18th, I will be launching that exercise in Nairobi and we will move around all counties for the governors to sign, if it is hanging Raila, they should hang us as well,” said Malala.
Wetangula urged NASA supporters to wait on their direction, saying they will have a meeting on Monday to deliberate further.
He however assured the supporters that their swearing in plans of Raila Odinga will go on as planned, and there is no stopping them.
“On Monday we have a meeting, all the NASA principals, and al l that we will talk about, we will let you know. But the swearing in plan will go on as planned, those who will manage to attend wherever we will be, we will let you know,” said Wetangula.
The coalition has insisted that they will go on with the plans, despite calls from all quarters to ensure they sit down and dialogue.
