As the ODM party primaries begin in Busia, Thursday, over 1,200 Western Kenya Primary Schools Heads Association Heads have endorsed area governor Sospeter Ojaamong’s re-election bid.

Speaking during the closure of the KEPSHA 5th Annual Conference at Farm View Hotel in Busia Town, KEPSHA chairman Joseph Otiende expressed optimism that the Ojaamong' will address the problems facing the association members in his second term in office.

"As you take your second term tomorrow we are optimistic you will address some of the challenges our members are facing. Busia is capable of hosting the National Annual Conference but lacks a 20,000 capacity social hall which we hope your government will avail if voters will return you," Otiende said.

On his part, the governor who also attended the conference promised to look into the teachers matters if he assumes office again.

“I will ride on the platform of teachers. You supported me win the gubernatorial seat in 2013. I hope you will support me again this time to enable me complete the projects I have initiated,” Ojaamong' said.

He accused the National government over its failure to provide infrastructure in schools in the area.
